There is a pay & display Car and Coach park directly opposite the Castle entrance (Mill Road Car Park).
We recommend that you allow at least 3 to 4 hours to visit the Castle.
There are designated Blue Badge parking spaces. Please note that the standard parking charges apply.
Payment accepted by cash or card.
Coaches are welcome to drop off visitors at Lower Lodge, Mill Road, but must park in the Mill Road Car & Coach park.
Coaches bringing groups of 20+ to the Castle are eligible for free parking in the Mill Road Car & Coach park.
Please enquire at the main Castle ticket box.
Motorhomes are welcome
Height barriers (approx 2.1m) are in operation daily from 6pm to 8am and all day during Winter weekends (November to March).
Motorhomes are requested to park in the overflow area, where standard fees apply.
If for any reason a motorhome is unable to park in the overflow parking, the tarmac area may be used. Please note that the bays are standard car sizes. One ticket per bay used (max 2) must be purchased and clearly displayed.
Important: The overflow area is closed 6pm - 8am when the castle is open to visitors. It is closed all day when the castle is closed.

Vehicles must not cause any obstruction to other car park users.
