Medieval Festival – A Skirmish

It is 1480 and England is finally at peace after many turbulent years of the civil war known as The Wars of the Roses. Yet national rivalries don't die easily, especially those between England and France. A French raiding party has crossed the channel and seeks to plunder along the Sussex coast. With only a small garrison force to defend the castle, can the Earl’s household withstand this raid and hold the castle until the Earl returns.

With three tented encampments portraying 15th century crafts, cooking weapons and armour, have a go activities such as archery, and two skirmishes each day there is plenty to transport visitors back into this turbulent time in England's history.
